Hot Dog Mummies (Day 8)

Here is another easy thing Ellie picked out of one of our magazines (Pillsbury Easy Halloween Treats, Cupcakes, and More) The original recipe is onlineĀ here. We already had hotdogs from a recent lunch, so I cut those in half and we used them. I cut the pastry into strips and Ellie mummified the hot dogs.

I used a chopstick (I was out of toothpicks) to paint on some eyes with black food coloring and baked for 15 minutes at 375 degrees.

Did you catch a glimpse of tomorrow’s project in the other picture?

Have a great Saturday!

About Ellie's Bites Decorated Cookies

I am a wife, mommy of two, and a part time dental hygienist. I love to cook, specifically- to bake, even more specifically- to bake cookies. Right now, my husband works a lot... A LOT, so I am home with the kiddos- A LOT. One day, when they are a bit older, I would love to do something professional with my cookies. For now, I make them, I post pictures, people comment. Hopefully my name gets out there, and I can improve and grow. If you're wondering why I am called "Ellie's Bites" when, in fact, my name is Stephanie... well, maybe one day that will be a blog post. :)
